A Brief Hello...with Promises of More to Come
Just off tour...catching up and wanted to share this quick note.
Hi all.
I apologize for the lack of posts over the last month. I recently returned from another three weeks away and have been playing catch-up, so I have a number of posts in development, but none are quite ready to share. I will be digging in more to expand the global music policy ideas, as I’ve been working on that over the past few weeks. I am also working on a few posts that have less to do with music and more to do with addressing the overall political challenges and changes we’re facing in Europe and the potential role the broader creative economy can have in addressing it.
Until then, I want to share a few things. The first is a new initiative from the team at Sound Diplomacy called THE DIGEST - an expanded blog written by the team exploring topics related to its work worldwide.
There are three topics to start, with more to come.
Second, I am headed back on the road. This time, I will visit Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Japan. Let me know if you are at Going Global, BIGSOUND, or Music Matters. More info is here - www.shainshapiro.com/tour.
The book was sent to print for the third time on Friday, which means three prints in nine months. I’ll soon announce more info on the translations, with the first—Spanish—out on October 14th via Liburuak / Last Tour Publishing.
